Essential Digital Skills - Entry 2, 3 and Level 1

Why join our Essential Digital Skills courses?

Our Essential Digital Skills course is designed to help adults build confidence and develop the necessary skills to thrive in today's digital world, both personally and professionally.

Our courses range from entry level to Level 1.

These courses are free to access if you are 19 years+ and have not previously attained a formal digital qualification.

This qualification can also lead into our Sector Routeway programme that will support you to pursue a digital skills career with a two-week work experience opportunity.

Entry Requirements

  • BKSB Digital Assessment: Start with a quick digital assessment to ensure you're placed at the right level Suitable for individuals at Entry 2 to Entry 3 levels. (Those assessed below Entry 2 can join our Entry 2 Digital or Beginners Digital Courses)
  • English Proficiency: A good grasp of English reading, listening, and comprehension is essential.

What You Will Learn

  1. Using Devices and Handling Information: Learn how to manage information and use digital devices efficiently.
  2. Creating and Editing: Learn how to create and edit digital content.
  3. Communicating: Master the art of digital communication, from emails to social media.
  4. Transactions: Navigate the world of online transactions safely and effectively.
  5. Being Safe and Responsible Online: Stay safe online with essential tips and best practices.

Course Fees

This course is completely free for adults over 19 years old with no or low digital skills or existing digital qualifications.

Progression

Level 2 Digital and IT Skills. Functional Skills English and Maths, Employability, and Vocational courses from Entry 3 to Level 1.
