About the Family, Adult and Community Education Service
The Family, Adult and Community Education Service (FACES) is part of Sheffield City Council. We deliver adult learning courses in community settings across the city for adults aged 19 years and over.
When you can learn with us
Our courses run throughout the year during term time. Most courses start in September, January or April, but some are available at any time.
Why learn with us
At FACES we provide a learning environment that focuses on you, the learner. Our classes are small, which means we can give each learner the individual support they need to progress. Furthermore, our tutors are qualified and have specialised knowledge, skills and experience of teaching adult learners.
How we can support you
We understand the barriers some adult learners may face and we want to do everything possible to support you back into learning.
We will help you develop your skills for learning and employment, as well as encouraging your personal development, such as improving confidence and self-esteem. We also provide a social network for you, within a flexible learning environment.

FACES has given me the foundation to kick start my life and achieve my goals!
