My friends told me about FACES because they are from Hong Kong, and they said I could do more English to help with living in the U.K.  I am very limited at speaking English but I have improved a little bit.  I think my friends did an English course too.

I have learned to use body language, and I also draw to communicate sometimes.   I am now more confident about talking after doing the Entry 3 functional skills course and the adult skills courses.  I understand things more because people often repeat things and then I can speak more naturally for example if someone says a sentence once I may not understand but if they repeat it, I understand more.  I have met new people on these courses.

This course has made a difference and sometimes I volunteer at Foodworks in Sharrow.

I help to prepare food to cook, I chop vegetables and make noodles with 3 or 4 other people and one supervisor who is in charge of managing the kitchen.

I want to complete my Level 1 English Functional Skills in September.  I am also thinking about attending Northern College for an 8-day residential course entitled:

Preparation for digital design (beginners)

I found out about this at the Next Steps event which was held in the Winter Gardens.

I would like to do digital design as a job. I would like to learn how to do Manga cartoons (popular in Japan). I will also continue to volunteer.  If my friend was thinking about doing a class, I would recommend FACES.
